Raleigh-Durham International Airport Parking

Raleigh-Durham International Airport has several options for those who are in need of parking at the airport.

Each of the parking lots offers hourly short-term parking, for the first few hours, as well as daily long-term parking. The hourly rate is available for the first 4 hours of parking after which it automatically transfers into the daily rate.

If one of the parking areas is full upon arrival at the airport, please simply park in one of the other parking lots available.

Don’t forget to collect your luggage from the car before proceeding to the terminal of your departure.

Payment Method: It is not possible to pay with cash, as of July 7, 2021, at RDU’s parking facilities. All major credit cards are however accepted for use in pay-on-foot self-service kiosks and at drive-up pay stations, while guests without cards may pay their parking fee in one of the ReadySTATION® kiosks found in Terminal 2.

ParkRDU Premier offers exclusive parking in a covered parking area, with easy and direct access to the terminals. The parking area is located on the ground level of the main parking garage. ParkRDU Premier parking has 1,000 parking spaces.

Parking Fee is $3.00/hour, or $22.00/day.

ParkRDU Central is conveniently located in the main parking garage between Terminals 1 and 2. It has more than 10,000 parking spaces both covered and outdoor. The walk to the terminals is short.

Parking Fee is $2.00/hour, or $12.00/day.

ParkRDU Express offers Load & Go luggage assistance, complimentary bottled water and shuttle services to the terminals running every 5 minutes. This is the mid-priced option at the airport. The shuttle takes around 5 minutes to the terminals.

ParkRDU Economy 3 is located just off I-40 and it offers free airport shuttles approximately every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day to both terminals. The shuttle journey takes approximately 7 minutes to Terminal 1 and 10 minutes to Terminal 2.

Parking Fee is $1.00/hour, or $10.00/day.

ParkRDU Economy 4 is located just off I-540 and U.S. 70 and it offers the lowest cost parking option at the airport and features covered shelters. Free shuttle services the parking lot and the airport terminals approximately every 20 minutes 24 hours a day. The shuttle journey takes approximately 7 minutes to Terminal 1 and 11 minutes to Terminal 2.

Parking Fee is $1.00/hour, or $7.00/day.

RDU Cell Phone Lot

The Cell Phone Lot is where greeters can wait with their car for the traveler to be ready for pick-up outside the terminal. Once the traveler has claimed their luggage they can let the greeter know they are ready and it will only take the greeter a few minutes, approximately 3-4, to drive from the Cell Phone Lot to the terminal of arrival.

The Cell Phone Lot is signed from I-40, or upon arriving at the airport it is possible to follow the “Rental Car Return” signs.
